Initiations on the Path of the Soul

White Eagle speaks of four great initiations that the human soul undergoes on the path to recognition of its own divinity. These are symbolically described under the form of the four elements, Water, Air, Fire and Earth. Through the richness of human experience the soul traverses this vast tapestry of spiritual life, until it manifests fully at last its oneness with God.

Now we catch a glimpse of the dispassionate mind, the higher mind of the divine. I a flash of recognition we are able to comprehend a love which both gives and withholds; a mind which never hurries, because it is completely sure of the outworking of divine laws, ordained to bring to the child of earth the blessing of full realization of of itself and of the fullness of God’s providence … let us bear in mind this surrender to the divine Mind as we speak of the Air Initiation.
